What is Learning Engineering?
To build a house, you first need someone to create a plan. The plan is based on your requirements for the house as a whole, and for each room or living space. Similarly, learning engineers are the architects of a learning experience. They design the overall structure and individual learning activities that ensure learning occurs, based on the requirements (what the learner should know or be able to do).
What is Evidence-Based?Often, our intuition about how learning works is wrong. Researchers study how people learn and how to teach. Experimental studies provide evidence about methods and strategies that are effective for learning, and those that are not. Learning engineers use this body of research to design experiences that produce learning.
What is Targeted
Learning? For instruction to be effective, there must be an intended learning result. In other words, there is specific knowledge, skill, or attitude changes you expect to happen as a result of the experience. Learning engineers begin with these outcomes in mind and determine what should be included (and not included) in the learning experience to attain the intended learning result.
Is your training engineered to be effective?
Our learning engineers will look into it for free. Then we’ll tell you how you can improve. No obligation. No kidding. We’re geeky like that.
